When difficult times come V
We desire faith: growing, strong and vibrant. A tool in our arsenal during difficult times. Faith is vital to our daily walk. "The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:17
Our faith-walk is a testimony to a watching world of the faithfulness and sufficiency of our God. We desire patience: Daily we face multiple opportunities to exhibit patience and often become frustrated when we repeatedly fail. We pray for patience, NOW!
We desire to be fulfilled, "perfect and complete", stable, content, and at rest in our spirit. Interestingly, we want faith, patience and completeness dropped in our laps, but God's perfect plan is to develop those things in our lives through trials and difficulty.
So this begs the question: What is your greatest passion? To avoid suffering or to submit to God's work in our life through trials as He transforms us to the image of His Son? James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. So how can we count it all joy when trials come? Because God is up to something BIG! REALLY BIG! IN THE MIDST OF OUR SUFFERING. -- Diane Hunt is Director of Addiction Recovery Ministries at America's KESWICK
