Time to Meditate upon the Word - Part II

Yesterday you were invited to spend time meditating upon the Word. Below is another listing of some of my favorite Scriptures. Each one is TRUTH. I will repeat the same directions I gave you yesterday.

I want to encourage you to, FIRST of all, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to bring revelation to you personally from His Word. SECOND, read each piece of Scripture. THIRD, ask the Holy Spirit to stop you as you read the Scriptures again, revealing what He would have you focus on. Focus and mediate on that piece of Scripture. Be still and listen. FOURTH, write down what you believe the Lord is saying to you. FINALLY apply His Word and His revelation to your life personally and be blessed. If in doubt about what you believe you have heard or learned in your time in the Word, consult with a mature believer who you trust, or your pastor.

Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Cor. 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

Ephesians 4:25-32
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Philippians 4:4-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:2,3
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourself therefore, under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all anxiety upon Him, because He cares for YOU!!

2 Peter 1:3-11
...seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence and in your moral excellence, knowledge; and in your knowledge, self-control; and in your self-control, perseverance; and in your perseverance, godliness; and in your godliness, brotherly kindness and in your brotherly kindness love.

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

James 4:1-3
1 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?
2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
