Deeper Into Psalm 46:1-7

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Ponder This:
This portion of God's Word blesses my socks off!! What immediately came to mind was the devastation (a true use and application of the word) in Haiti. I've watched a lot of news in the past few weeks and in the midst of such colossal tragedy (apocalyptic, I heard one man say!) the media has captured the praise of God's people!!

I am moved to tears when I hear the reports. Night after night in spite of the fact that the earth has given way and mountains have moved, some of the people of Haiti know the refuge and strength of a Holy God who shall not be moved!! They know the God of Jacob who is their fortress!!

Apply this truth to your thinking today:
"God is your refuge and strength!! If you sincerely and honest believe that then live like it's the truth and defy your flesh the luxury of a bitter, complaining and critical spirit! Fall on your face and praise God from whom all your blessings flow!

If you can think of nothing to praise Him for then, dear one, ask God to refresh your memory and help you up and out of that pit you are in.

Let Him be your all in all and remember the river of Life which flows from Calvary's mountain.

Stephanie
